I stop walking. "Hold on a minute." I head for the boys.

Talia stands quite still as she watches Alex walk towards the boys.

I put a hand on each of the two boy's shoulders. "Gentlemen! Can I have a word with you?"

One boy looks at him "sure " he says glancing behind him.

"I'm doing a survey on everyone's opinion on mutants. Would you be willing to participate?"

The boy looks at his mates " really, we saw you with her" he says "blue freek" calls out on boy the first elbows him " cut it out jack" he says "sure what ya want"

"Well, what would you do if you encountered a mutant in a dark alley?"

the boy thought for amoment but his freind s just laughed and moved off "see ya later Evan , wouldn't catch us near a muttie" the shout and run away.

Evan moves him to one side raising his arm a spike shoots out "not something i show anyone, but.."he looked past him to the blue girl " can you introduce me to her?".

I'm taken by surprise. "Sure, I guess."

Talia stands watchinf as Alex and the boy walk over to her "you come for a closer look?" she says

"Hi im Evan"he says holding out his hand.
Talia is taken a back by this gesture and looks at Alex not quite knowing what to do.

I nod, silently telling her to take the hand.

Talia holds out her hand the boy shakes it warmly "I'm Talia " she says nervously

"nice to meet ya Taila, pay no attenchen to those boys" he said " you gonna be around ?" he asked
Talia nodded "I guess" her eyes looking at Alex again ner nervouness now to the point she would at a moment port away

I slip away, letting them get aquainted.

After amoment Evan says good by waving to Alex ,Talia moved to Alex a smile on er face " he' meeting me at the school later were going for a soda" she said

"Very nice. Speaking of which... I get the feeling we should head back. As they say, 'I feel a great disturbance in the Force.'"
