I was sitting at a table outside of Starbucks as I drank my java chip. I took out my cell phone and dialed Demetria, telling her to meet me.

I got a call that Cheyenne wanted to see me so I met her at Starbucks. "All right, I'm here." I said as I sat down. "What do you want?"

"I want to talk. It has been awhile since we've talked. Will you please listen to what I have to say?"

I sighed. "Fine, I'll listen."

"I know you hate me because of what happened. If I could do it all over I would. I never meant for it to happen. I know I should have done something instead of just standing by and watching. I regret that. I'm here now to make things right, but I can't so it alone. You need to meet me half way."

"I don't hate you. I just...I didn't know how to deal with everything that happened. I know it wasn't your fault either. Dad was abusing me and not you and I thought it was easier to blame you for it."

I was suprised she didn't yell at me. "I know you were hurt that I didn't do anything. I was also hurt when you blames me. We have both made mistakes. Can we...can we start again?"

I smiled. "Yeah. It is time that we put the past behind us. I'm sorry."

I smiled back. "I'm glad."

"Hello you two. It's nice to see you made up."

"Dad?" I was surprised to see him here.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked dad. Then I looked at Cheyenne. "You knew he was here?"

"No, I didn't. I swear I didn't."

"Of course she did." Dad said. "After all she did invite me."

"Demetria, I swear I had no idea. I didn't invite him."

"And I thought you wanted to make up? This was just a ploy to get me to see dad."

"No, it wasn't. I really do want us to make up. Dad just showed up."

"I am suppose to believe that?"

"Yes. I swear I didn't know he was here."

"So what made you two decide to become close?" Dad asked as he moved towards Demetria. "I can remember when you two couldn't stand to be in the same room."
