Joanna said no more and fought against the pain the best she could soon the came to a second man hole "we.. go..up." she said

I climb up the ladder, and slice through the manhole. I stick my head up. No one seems to notice. I climb out slowly, and quietly.

Joanna follows but the pain intensifies the closer she gets, then it stops , she looks at Alex " in there" she says taking her claws she slices the door pushing it it falls into pieces.

I walk inside. No one inside. There are tubes all along the wall. They all have some one inside... "Oh... That's twisted..." It's all Kurt. Every tube has Kurt inside. "It's a cloning operation."

Joanna walked in as she did a wave of emotions hits her but one stands out is not in the tubes , walking over to a second door she noticed it made of adamantum "Alex look here" she said

I look at the tube. "Project XI. J, could this be the weapon X program?"

she looks at the tube and her anger rises.

"it is the weapon X program, but where's Kurt" she said " this pull its not from these things" she pointed to the kurts in the tube " its coming from there" she pointed to the door she had found.

I open the door. It's a freezer. There's a single body inside. "I guess this is what they do when they're done with it."

Joanna sighed " guess it was just wish full thinking." she said turning away as she does she smacks the panel to her left smashing it into pieces.

I examine the body. Definitely Kurt. "He's dead... But somehow his mind is still active." I turn him over. There's a device on the back of his head. "It's in here." I take it off. "This can preserve his mind... Fascinating."

Joanna walks over to the tubes " but why" she said softly " why him?" her hand touches the warm tubes.

"The ability to teleport is incredibly useful. The perfect soldier. The perfect assassin. Multiplied by hundreds."

Joanna turns to face him " is that all i felt " she said now angry that her own emotions had been used " that" she said pointing to the device he held.
