I walked to a lake and looked at the water. I remember how I loved swimming. I walk to the water's edge and put my foot in the water. I can't even feel the cold water. I sigh as I look up at the sky. What is there for me here?

I was walking around the lake when I saw someone near the water, but she didn't look real. As I walked closer I realized she was a ghost. "Well, this is interesting." I said.

I looked over at who spoke and saw a girl. "I take it you can see me?"

"Of course I can see you, though I can't say that I see ghosts all the time. So what happened to you?" I asked curiously.

"I died." I said like it was the most obviuos thing in the world.

"No really?" I said sarcastically. "I mean how did you die?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Fine don't tell me. I was just curious. Like I said I don't see a ghost every day."
