I crack my neck. Keeping everyone together was a challenge, but I finally found a place that'll hold all of us.

I sit and look around strreaching out my wings i am just glad not to be in the thick of a battle.

"How are you adjusting, Becca?"

I look over at him "this world is different" she saysd her wings spread out behind her.

**Ace Carpenter**

"That it is. I'm just glad the manager of this place is a mutant. Once he heard we were refugees, he let us walk right in. Idiot. Refugees can be dangerous."

Rebbecca looked at him " I think he was just thinking of the money he could make" she said

**Ace Carpenter**

I shake my head. "No. He's just generous. Something I've encountered much of here."

Rebecca looked at him it was a word she had not heard a lot of " now we're here now what?" she asked looking at him.

**Ace Carpenter**

"I don't honestly know. I was thinking about our freedom when I did this, but now it seems as though our options are still just as limited."

she looked at him "mine more than yours" she said moving her wings behind her

I chuckle slightly. "So it would seem. Say what you want about our world, at least mutants didn't have to hide there."

rebecca sighed "yea, even with the fight it was still home" she said now feeling a little home sick.

**Ace Carpenter**

I run my fingers through my hair. "Oh, well. It's done now. No going back."

Rebecca gave a weak smile "maybe things will work out here" she said "maybe finaly we"she stopped for a second " all of us can find our places" she tentivly looked at him

I nod. "I hope so."
