Joanna found herself sat under the same tree she had when Kurt found her and asked her to go on vacation , her tears streamed down her face , why had she brought him back only to lose him again, what twisted mind would do that to her she slid down the tree her chest ached from crying.

I teleport into the park. I see her. Underneath the tree. She's near enough to hear me. "Joanna."

Janna turns her head but not to look at him but away, her eyes now red and wet from tears she had thought long since dry.

I take a step closer. "Please, Joanna, talk to me."

Joanna never turned her head "and say what, I love you, how can i when your own daughter thinks you are your own brother" she stands her nreathing hard as now she can not stop the flow of her tears

"I won't be responsible for ruining her life. If she falls apart now, when she's sixteen, and hormonal, and who knows what else, what might happen to her? She might kill herself. She might get drunk and hit by a car. Something that I can't think of could happen! I can't let it, Joanna! She's the moon to me, reflecting the light you put out."

taking a deep breath she spoke"and what of us, am i to be forgot now, lied to"she almost screamed at him "I have and always will love you but my heart aches for you"

I port next to her. "Haven't you been listening? She's the moon. You're the sun. I won't leave you alone. I don't know how, but we'll make it work. I was never going to leave. Not permanently. I was going to get another apartment, yes, just so that Talia wouldn't catch on, but that's it."

Joanna looked at him her hand resting on his arm but felling him against her arm she moves to hold him.

I hold her close to me. "I promise. I'll make this work. Somehow."

Joanna held him tighter as if not wanting him to go her heart had already been broken once that day she didn't think it was possible for a heart to brake twice but slowly her's was.
Pulling away she looked up at him.
sighing she spoke"and how long till you tell her the truth, months years I don't think i could take it for that long"she said.

"I don't know that I ever can. That's why I said that Kurt Wagner is dead. I may never be able to take that name again."

Joanna looked up at him "and us?" was all she said " is what we had dead?"

I shake my head. "No. It will have to adapt, change. But it isn't dead."
