We walk into the hospital. I trick everyone else's minds into not being aware of us.

Adam held up Susan as they walked into the hospital.

"OK. First, I'll need to run her blood." We go into the blood lab.

Susan felt her legs give and she hung on to Adam.

"Put her on that table." I get a syringe ready.

Adam moved her to the table " you 'll be OK" he said softly to her.

susan smiled up at him as she lay down " I know I will" she said pulling him down to her she kissed him.

I draw some blood from her.

susan winced as she felt the needle enter her arm but kept hold of adam.

I run the blood through the entire battery of tests. The results are... baffling, to say the least. "That's not possible..."

Adam looked at Natalia " something wrong?" he asks

"Her DNA. It's... like nothing I've ever seen."

Adam looked at Susan " I need to see " he said Susan let go and lay still on the bed, walking over he stood beside Natalia

"Look here, and here. Those are chromosomes, but they aren't X or Y. And look here. She has 10 base pairs. All life on earth only has 4."

Adam stood up turning to look at Susan " she's changing" he said " but to what?"
