I look at him puzzled.

" never heard of those?" i say sitting up.

"When mutants are born as twins, they're connected to each other. It's a link that, theoretically speaking, no telepath can break. And I tried. I found several sets of twins over the years, but none of them could be disconnected unless one twin was killed."

I grin

" but she hasn't got her's he's dead" i say chuckeling

"Well, that hardly matters now. A strong enough telepath, and believe me, Ace is more than strong enough, can take up the other end of the connection."

i look at Alex

" why did she not connect to someone before now?" i ask " and what says she's conneccted to Ace"

"Well, it takes a certain level of emotional attachment. And I sensed something when she was flying me out here, I just didn't realize what it was."

i smile

"aw she has a boy freind, how quite sickaning" i say cursing under my breath.

I breath smoke out of my nose. "Isn't it? But, of course, her emotional strength with be vastly improved now."

i give a growl

" fucking bitch" i say out loud " well with time comes streangth and revenge" i take a swig from the flask.

"Quite correct." My filter is tossed away, and I light up again. "I'm just glad I can't get lung cancer from these."

i smirk ,

"do i look like i care" i say

"Oh, you can't either. Not while I'm around. When I healed you earlier, you were put into a state of perfect health."

i smirk as i light up another cigarette.

" nice" i say taking a drag.

"Of course, it's only temporary. I'll have to... recharge it."

i grin at him.
