Not Much Else

Camille sat on the roof of the abandoned warehouse watching the city and its lights. It was dark, but not dark enough to see the stars from all the city lights. Camille sighed and lay on her back in silence.

I walked silently toward the dark figure. "It's the one place in the city where you can see the stars. " I smiled, "It seems we meet again."

Camille narrowed her eyes at the girl. "Must you annoy me once more? Your childish behaviour can really be irritating." she whispered harshly.

I took a seat next to her, with my legs dangling over the ledge. "Annoying? I suppose so, but I'm not here to be childish right now."

"Then why are you here? I did not summon you," Camille said bitterly.

"Summon me? No you didn't. I found you because I want your help with the X-men."

Camille wrinkled her nose and sat up. "If you are here to ask me to help those weak fools, you are definitely in the wrong place."

I frowned, "If they're so weak, why hasn't the brotherhood demolished them? It's because you can't. I want to join."

"No, we can. We just choose not to; Erik and Charles were good friends. Erik doesn't wish to attack the Xmen unless they are in our way." Camille got to her feet and jumped off the roof. "If you join, then leave me alone. I don't enjoy associating with twits." she said before walking inside the Warehouse.

"Mutual friends and mutual enemies. Oh what a twisted world." Shatter jumped off the roof and went into a diving roll to land. "Stil you know, it is so much fun to follow you. Who knows what's going to happen next?" Shatter smiled following Camille.

Camille whirled around. "Look, I don't need a shadow. I don't need or want you around." she said her eyes blazing.

I smiled, ignoring the comment. "So does that mean I can follow you around?"

Camille flared her nostrils. "No," she said through clenched teeth. Camille became invisible and disappeared.

I was expecting a hit at least. "Camille? Seriously? Wow I mean....that's it?"

I walk into the ware house I heard Camilles voice, I see a girl but not her "Where did Camille go?"
