Camille sat on the cold floor, wrapped in her cloak, in hopes that they wouldn't come searching for her.

Camille got to her feet abruptly. "Kale? Kale!" she called after him. "You lost him? He won't bother you again?" she said happily.

I collapsed to my knees as I caught my breath. Then I looked at Camille. "I could lie to you and say he won't come after me again. But he will. He always will until he kills me." I said sadly.

Camille's eyes saddened. "Then we must fight him. That's the only way to keep him off you."

Camille sighed and opened up her cloak to show her bandaged abdomen. "I'm fine," she said quickly.

"That's good, but I still worry about you. I'm sorry you got hurt. If it weren't for me you wouldn't have gotten shot."

"You can't beat yourself about this. It's nothing. I took the shot to make sure that you didn't get hurt," she explained. "I don't think you understand how much you mean to me."

"Well, you mean so much to me that's why I don't want you to get hurt. I would have taken a bullet t protect you."

Camille smiled weakly. "It seems that we would take a bullet for each other," she admitted quietly.
